Crispy Plantain Roast(வாழைக்காய் வறுவல்)

Plantain is the very simple,also delicious to eat.It can be cooked quickly and it surely be a good accompained with Rice and sambhar.I have tried with crushed ginger,garlic with grated coconut for the toping.

                                      Plantain

2 Plantain;peel off skin,cut into small cirlces
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Grated Fresh Coconut

2 Garlic;crushed
1" sized Ginger;crushed

  1. Peel off the plantain skin(green in color),cut into small nice circles.
  2. Heat the two table spoon of cooking oil in the fry pan,add the plantain,fry in a moderate heat for 2 minutes.
  3. Flip the plantain,add salt and crushed garlic,ginger,red chilli powder,garam/spices powder.
  4. Reduce the heat,set as simmer,gently flip the plantain for 5 minutes.
  5. Drizzle some oil to make them more crispy,maintain the low heat.
  6. Check the crispyness of the plantain.
  7. Once it is ready,just sprinkle some grated coconut,fry for a minute till it turns into browny.
  8. Serve hot with Sambhar Rice,Coconut Rice,Lemon Rice,Curd Rice.
