Hai Friends,I was thinking about the My new post for my blog to deliver a good New Recipe with traditional feel taste for this Diwali.I got an idea to make my mom's simple traditional Pilau rice,popular version of spicy rice through allover the world,especially in India.
I hope you will try this simple Pilau Rice,vegetarian version.Just add the chicken stock to transfer this rice as nonveg version,it's best accompanied with Traditional south Indian shrimp/prawn masala(coming soon) and Have a fun with your Family.Also please don't forget to drop me a comment on this Recipe.
THE MAKING PART
2 Cups Basmathi rice;wash twice;soak for 20 mints in a cold water 1 cup Chicken stock,
1/2 cup Vegetable stock water
1 Medium sized Onion;finely chopped
50 gms Butter;save extra to serve
3 tsp. Cooking Oil
1/2 cup Fresh Peas/Frozen Peas;wash thoroughly(optional)
4 cardamon pods
5 cloves
2 cinnamon stick
2 bay leaves
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder(spices powder)
10 springs Coriander Leaves;chopped well
1/2 tsp.Turmeric Powder
pinch saffron threads
Salt to taste
1/2 cup Vegetable stock water
1 Medium sized Onion;finely chopped

START,ACTION,CAMERA Cook.Time : 15 minutes Serves: 4
- Take a Pressure pan,Heat the Butter and oil,add all the spices,corainder leaves,Peas and chopped onion for 5 minutes until softened.
- Drain out the water from the rice,add the rice in the pan,stir the grains are coated well in the butterand spices mixture for few minutes.
- Now Add the exact one cup of chicken stock + 1/2 cup of Vegetable stock,salt into the mixture,bring to boil for 3 minutes.Add the 1/2 tsp lime juice.
- Now close the pressure pan lid,put the weight,take a single whistle.Wait until whistle come down.
- Drizzle with some butter on the top of the rice and Serve Hot.
